OH NO, LOOK AT WHO THEY LET IN THE BACK DOOR

And the question today is, can you wear leopard vest with leopard shades?

My answer is no, and I'm wearing sunglasses I got when I was nine that I was sure made me look like posh spice. Pure 90s goodness!

ROOFTOPS

1. Laura photographed me at our dorm room this one time.
2. Went to the best school trip ever and came back with this. Because you need to burn candles inside a glass skull, definitely. It's Swedish Kosta Boda.

Hello it's golf wang hooligans fucking up the school again...
Well, I'm at school, it's Friday afternoon, the last time I checked out the window it was snowing and I'm scanning film and listening to BBC Radio 1xtra.
Enjoy your Friday, do something special, wake up somewhere you've never been and take care of your friends!

My dear readers in Helsinki, I have two of my pictures from the Young Blood series I posted earlier exhibited in Sanomatalo at our school's group exhibition. The opening is next Wednesday (30.3) 5pm-10pm, I would love to see you there!

WELCOME TO MY WORLD

1. Yohji Yamamoto - This Is My Dream trailer. I cannot wait to see the whole clip! Oh my god!
2. Red Cafe ft Currensy - Everydays A Weekend. My brain is melting with the spring sun, and I'm off to draw nudes, like I do every tuesday.

LETS DO SOMETHING CRAZY, SOMETHING ABSOLUTELY WRONG

Sunday was a very special day because it was the first time someone (that special someone being Sinikka) pointed a Leica at me. Not photography nerding or anything, you know...

Yesterday I bought a red college...with a ferrari print.
And a kick-ass leopard print vest.
It must be the temperature rising!

Welcome, this is something else...

MOTIVATION FOR LIFE

It's Lil B in T style! One pretty bitch!
I have to admit something to you.
The reason I'm accepting my place at London College of Fashion is based largely on the fact that I want to photograph rappers (preferably with neck tattoos) as soon as possible.
I mean why not, probably every other aspiring young photographer (and probably my future classmates) wants to shoot more backs and hair and serious art and fashion fashion and parties and I love that.
I'm just in it for an entire different reason...
You remember when Snoop Dogg was in the cover of Vogue L'uomo, back in 2007?
That issue is one of my treasures.

I know what happens in future will give me another viewpoint and my artistic vision will grow, but fuck it, I'm 20, I want to dedicate next five years to photogenic dudes without shirt in front of my Mamiya. And after that Vogue, I mean, what did you expect?

Thanks Varpu for the shots.
I got Varpu addicted on
W magazine's website.
I'm quite proud of myself.
And I got my own domain today!
It's time to take it to take things to the next level.

SOMEWHERE BETWEEN WHAT YOU NEED AND WHAT YOU KNOW

Let's buy guns and kill those kids with dads and mom with nice homes, 41k's, and nice ass lawns

heaven can wait and hell's too far to go

Two new photos I have taken! I've been listening to Charlotte Gainsbourg and Leonard Cohen on repeat and wearing a huge mohair knit.
I am happy.
I'm thinking about buying a white fuzzy mohair-blend blazer and make a vest out of it. And wear it with a minimal leather belt and dark red lips.
The last days of whatever.

HEIKKI SALONEN AW2011

After three seasons with Fashion East, it seems that Heikki Salonen crossed over to the video presentation format! The collection seems as beautiful as ever!

YOUNG BLOOD

We're only young and naive still
We require certain skills
The mood it changes like the wind
Hard to control when it begins
The bittersweet between my teeth
Trying to find the in-betweens

Some new photos I've taken!

And I love this song...

I SWEAR I'M ON MY LEVEL

I bought the first shirt last month. It's silk. It set me back 1,5 euros. It's longer in the front so you can knot it if you want. It's genius. And I love the colour! I also bought Peter De Potter x Raf Simons tee in the second image from Beam for 27 euros (the image is from Luisaviaroma). The print spoke to me...
Oh and I spilled coffee in London to the silk dream, fuck.
This year I've actually set a clothing budget for myself and it's a super humble amount of 120 euros. I'm at little over 40 euros right now, but I'll manage. The 40 euros has gotten me this, a brown wool cape, black merino knit, super rough brown wool army jacket and some nice jewelry and just a lot of amazing pieces...
I've bought the most from second hands in a small town named Karjaa where I study the weekdays.
Still got the second hand skillz!

CHOCOLATE AND VANILLA

Back at serious fashion blogging soon but meanwhile enjoy these Mignon Easter eggs I painted inspired by Odd Future.
Yup, they are basically eggshells filled with pure chocolate, success story Finland.

I LOOK TO THE FUTURE BECAUSE THAT'S WHERE I'M GOING TO SPEND THE REST OF MY LIFE

These are photos taken by yours truly, me, blown up to A2 for an exhibition.
Our assignment was to take pictures inspired by a poem.
I knew right away I wanted to choose Gil Scott Heron's Running.

Because I always feel like running
Not away, because there is no such place
Because if there was I would have found it by now
Because it's easier to run,
Easier than staying and finding out you're the only one...who didn't run

The prints are for sale if anyone is intrested!

THIMISTER AW11

A year or so back I posted about Josephus Thimister's combeack Couture collection which I absolutely loved (and included one of his quotes to my sidebar, have a look). I really hoped his business would carry on because you don't get a lot of sincere collections these days, so I was more than happy to click on style.com and see the name Thimister there on latest collections (and Nicolas Andreas Taralis!). I'm feeling the huge parkas and the mix of sleek beige satin outfits and rougher grey outfits and furry knits and and and you get my point! Thank higher powers it's Paris Fashion Week!

Today is an opening of a group exhibition held in local cafe, I will post about it tomorrow. Make this Wednesday yours, guys.
