!

I love Elle Milano, all other indie bands suck. Also, Google Analytics tells me that people google lyrics to Wonderfully Wonderful and end up here. Can't blame them, it's such a lovely song and uhm basically tells about my life, like all their other songs. That's why I'm so into them, though rock is dead.Album drops in 2008, if you think about it, 2008 is just around the corner and we are all getting really old and 90s were ages ago. Listening to heavenly hardcore tape that has the original version of Bouncer, not the Klaxons (2006!!!2006!!!) version is kinda charming. Spice Girls are having a comeback, and we all really love them, don't we. 90s fashion has been on the trend-list for a while. Cool, ok. So cool. Blah. It's getting old. 2007 has been wonderful though. I hope 2008 is fun too. I hope Natalie Portman's Shaved Head and Elle Milano get really huge so they can come to a city near me. and Autumn 2009, that's when i hope to finish this school thing. FUCK.

The kids are so quiet, almost like they know, something's got to happen, something's got to change, all change. You never used to get paralytic, well maybe I should get paralytic. And she asks herself why our lives just come and go? And are we ever gonna get a voice of our own?

Silent Russian

I've got another gorgeus Russian model for you! Well actually when I posted about Olesya, I thought posting about her too, but I didn't have enough information and no polaroids. When I post about new models, I want to show polaroids because they represent the model, not the image the model is in. So when these polaroids appeared on COACD, I was sure to dedicate a post to her! But I still haven't got much information so if you do, please share.

Her name is Lyoka Tyagnereva and she is from St.Petersburg. She's with Nathalie in Paris, One in NYC, FM in London and Fashion Milan, while her mother agency is Grace Moscow. I need models with this look. Querelle Jansen, Heather Bratton (R.I.P), Meghan Collison...there is just something about looking cool and in control and tough and not generic. Again, she surprises me with her versatility. You'd think that with those cheekbones and eyes she'd have the same distinctive look in every picture. Yes, she is not generic model, but that doesn't mean that she can't be versatile. That is one one of my favorite things about her. She can be the wallflower pradacoathanger, rock and roll soul, lost looking girl or confident woman. I have no idea about her age! That's what I really want to know. She could be 16, 20 or 23.

She has already graced the cover of September Amica, walked for Fendi in the Great Wall of China, Dolce & Gabbana and Lanvin and there's more to come for this enchanting face! Just wait and see, she has cast a spell on you!

all your stupid ideals

When you don't have spare money and all the right magazines appear on the shelves, what's a girl to do? When I talk about right magazines, I mean A Magazine, The Purple Journal and Dec/Jan issue of i-D. I also believe French Elle with Charlotte Gainsbourg and French Vogue with her will be on the shelves soon, aswell as new W. W has a website now! Craziness. OH DID I TELL YOU THAT QUERELLE JANSEN HAS AND EDITORIAL AND INTERVIEW IN DECEMBER ELLE????????????? Anyways I'm really sad at the moment. I have to clean my room to find all kinds of things. Then I'll have to convince my mom that I NEED that textiles and fashion book. Hopefully I won't have to do that anymore, asking money all the time, because I started working again.

Oh if someone wants free copy of Nylon Nov. then let me know and I'll send it to you. Just let me rip out the Elliott Smith part. It's such a crappy issue. What else is crap? Gina Tricot, Oasis, H&M. Zara had some nice Prada inspired things, coats and shoes. Bo hoo, chainstores are bad, but I found vintage Hermés scarf (Grande Tenue by Henri d'Origny) this week from the same jesus second-hand where I have found vintage Charles Jourdan sunglasses, Cacharel skirt and Dior scarf and tons of great, non-label things. People are really nice there, everything is ironed and hanging neatly without ridiculous price tags. I did some online search and the scarf is vintage according to the copyright symbol being next to the Hermés Paris. My only complain is that the scarf has a tiny run in the silk :( But this purchase got me really intrested in Hermés scarves (especially vintage)! They are one of the most beautiful things around!

Plus the jesus second hand had furry things!! Don't you love them? I do I do I do I do I love them like a fool. Blame Prada, and this cute one modeled by Meghan Collison! It didn't say who was it by in the editorial, I'm guessing it's second hand.

and when I say innocent, I should say naive.

Today my dear readers, I'm kinda sad. You see, yesterday I was at screening of Metropolis, Giorgio Moroders disco-version, and people laughed. It seems that they were laughing at the parts where disco music and acting togheter was little "over the top" or whatever. It makes me sad because I think disco is dead serious. How could they. It did not ruin my experience but I happen to like melodramaticness, and I could do without people laughing at amazing, expressive parts that are inspiring and wonderfully wonderful. People like that suck. I repeat, disco is dead serious. Ps. Pet Shop Boys' <3_________<3 Disco 4 is out now.

Before Metropolis, I watched The Girl with the Hat Box . I think it is the first silent movie I've seen without any voice, without any musical composition. Crazy. Why am I dragging myself to somewhere on Sundays to watch these movies from 20s, giving the theatre the last Euros of my week? Because my school of desire wants me to be intrested in film. Atleast it says so on the website. They want me to be intrested in culture. For the only time I've been in Opera, I fell asleep because I was so tired, not because it was boring. Well, it was the final rehearsal and there were lots of school groups, and it didn't cost me anything, I wasn't even nicely dressed. Films on the other hand, they are so much easier.

Anyways, in my last post I introduced Olesya, and watching this romantical silent comedy from Russia made me think about her. I think her, with the eyebrows, and Anna Sten, the star of the movie, have the same Russian features (her dad was Ukraninan and mother from Sweden). Also, the role of Natasha, hat maker who lives in the countryside with her grandpa and delievers the ready hats to Madame Irenes Hat Store in Moscow was very cute, charming and playful. I couldn't find nice pictures from the web about this movie, I'm sorry, I'm not so into Google Images like some people.

It's gets so dark these days, and so fast too, I can't believe I'll have to live 6 months without proper twilight. It was snowing today, The Girl with the Hat Box is full of snow in the countryside while Moscow is bare of snow. Natasha had curly hair topped with white woolly hat, kohled eyes and big simple winter coat plus amazing 20s lace-up boots.

They take a polaroid and let you go, say they'll let you know SO C'MON

I guess when one should do a post about fresh models, they should go with Lera Sheremata, with all that gossip around her, or some Prada exclusive from Siberia, have you seen Dazed&Confused Dec. cover with another girl from Prada? Then there's Siri Tollerod who can do both Prada and be in the same ad with Pete Wentz, all those American Sweethearts, blonde, blue-eyed, maybe some MIKAs girl, any swede will do or any 15-years-old from Croatia...Other safe option is someone from Supreme, hot "polaroids", like Meghan Collison whom I've posted before, and by the way, 2 Italian Vogue covers in a row for her. Keep rocking that fringe in every Vogue, girl.

So after this brief big LOL to the seasons freshest or whatever, would you like to see another Supreme girl who caught my eye?

Her name is Olesya Senchenko. Basically, she is the cutest thing ever. She's 18 and from...hmm.....where could she be from.....Russia. Her mother agency is IQ Models, Supreme in NYC, Women in Paris and Premier in London. She has been on the cover of Harpers Singapore, and done other work in Asia too. She joined Supreme not so long ago, just around the SS08 fashion weeks, so therefore she wasn't that much in shows, being so new to the agency. Like with Meghan, I'm guessing next season will be huge for her. Just look at her, she has charm, her facial features are gorgeus, and even if she for some weird reason doesn't break in the high fashion scene, with that face she can do bridal in Asia for the rest of her life. But I don't see that coming, just look at what those eyebrows do for her. She has a fringe too, though you can't see it from these polaroids, and she also looks good with shorter and sleeker hair. I'm actually really excited about her look (very versatile) and what will she land in the future!
